Settlement wrong

Earlier this week I phoned FNB personal loans number. The voice prompts led me to the menu for me to hear my settlement amount. And it clearly stated that this amount is valid till the 08/02/2014. Today when i went to the bank to settle the loan the settlement amount is more than the amount they gave me earlier. When i queried it the guy told me as i did not request a settlement letter, the interest added on. The problem with this is, when i phoned the first time it said that settlement quote is valid till the 08/02/2014 which is only tomorrow. No where or no one told me i had to get the settlement letter for the quote to be valid till the 08-02-2014. After telling the operator that he told me " i don't know how to respond to that". This is absolutely ridiculous. What is the use of the voice prompt/"self-service" menu if the information it gives you is invalid. I am very very disappointed in fnb and will definitely think twice before taking my business there again.
