What the is the ombudsman doing about the fact that the banks are still taking astronomical amounts for penalties. FNB charges R220 for being over the limit on your credit card with only R50. The joke is that the fees is as a result of THEIR fees that was loaded onto your card limit. I cannot spent over my limit, but they can put their fees on and then push the card over the limit in order for them to hit you with a penalty fee. This system was designed this way to the client. What I owe you in fees etc is separate from my card limit which I keep at. How the can I go over the limit if my card has got a set limit. YOU FNB are pushing it over the limit not me. You messed up my account a while ago by putting my ex-wives cell number onto my in contact details. All I received from you was "we so sorry sir", I told the person dealing with it to please arrange for a penalty fee to be paid to me and he would have come back to me, guess what? - no reply. This time I will go to the ombudsman because I'm so sick of this thievery and unjust system that steals from people who has to try and survive in a difficult economic environment. Please rectify ASAP
