No sense of urgency - NO CAR HIRE

I had on accident on Sat. the 2nd March 2013. I submitted a Claim on Tuesday the 5th March 2013. Today is Three weeks later Friday the 22nd March 2013. I still have NO CAR HIRE, and There has been very little progress on my claim. The supervisor responsible for car hire promissed to listen to the tapes on the day I added my vehicle to the policy (4th September 2012) to find out if I did not actively decline car hire, but to date he has not bothered to come back to me, that is if he bothered to review the tapes at all.

I feel like regent is deliberately refusing with the car hire, and delaying my claim so that I am under pressure to accept what ever unsatisfactory offer they may have.

Someone once advised me that in South Africa it is best to pay a few hundred rand more for your cover and stick with the reputable large insurers like Mutual and Federal or Santam because they are more efficient, professional and hastle free in the unfortunate even of a claim. I now regret why I chose a budget insurer who is reluctant to pay-out on a claim.
