No service for something I pay for every month

I have the car hire option on my policy in the event of an accident or.
In November my car was reversed into and I was advised not to claim from FFW, but to claim as a 3rd party from the other persons insurance (PCFA). My claim was dealt with from their side and today my car was sent in for repairs.
To my knowledge, because I have the car hire option, I should be able to have car hire while my car is in for repairs due to an accident, which it is at the moment.

When I called yesterday to confirm I was told that because my claim is not done through FFW I cannot claim for car hire which I feel is very unfair.
The other insurance company does not offer car hire so now I am in a predicament where I pay for a service monthly but now cannot use it when I am in desperate need of it.
I am trying to make alternate travel arrangements but it is very difficult and an inconvenience to myself and everyone involved.

I urge you to re-look the situation with regards to my car hire option and get back to me as soon as possible.
