Willful and spiteful delay in retirement claim

Left my company on 11.02.13. Contacted Alexander Forbes today to find out whether they are processing my retirement resignation payment and was told that my claim was rejected for no reason at all, so I guess if there's no reason then it must be willful and spiteful on their part! They said they will delay my claim further and find out if anyone knows why the claim was rejected in the first place.
What type of service is this? No one bothered to contact me to advice me of this either. Really putrid service.
