Alexander Forbes not able to process funds

I was contacted by a tracing company about surplus Standard Bank Group Retirement funds over a year ago. I was told that the very reputable Alexander Forbes is responsible for processing the funds. After a few queries in this regard with the Alexander Forbes Group Retirement Fund department there has been absolutely no progress in this regard.

With a company as large and stable as Alexander Forbes, my question is just this, ''how is it possible that no answers or finalisiation can be provided in over a year''? Is this a or do they wish recipients would just let it go by and forget about it...
