No support after being defrauded

On 14 Mar I received an SMS saying that a purchase had been made on 9/3 at 00:33 for R1107 using my new Discovery card (not sure why the 5-day delay with the notifications). The transaction description indicated that the purchase had been made at an online retailer. However, no such transaction exists at this retailer (the format of the descripion on the statement is also wrong for this retailer: I know, i have shopped with them many times using another credit card). I have contacted the retailer and the company that processes their transactions.

FNB/Discovery refuse to process a chargeback as it was apparently a PIN based transaction.

Now this online retailer does not ask for a PIN, so where was the PIN entered? The retailer doesn't have a record of this transaction, so could the department please do their job properly and tell me where my card was actually used? And could you also not cut my call while I'm still talking, then I won't have to resort to Hello Peter?

And how long do I have to wait for Joan's supervisor to call me?

What an expensive lesson. Avoid Discovery Card, people, they can't tell you where your card was used. And then losses are yours to bear.
