On the 2nd of February 2013 my Internet Banking was hacked, money transferred out of my account. After contacting the department i was told it was not Absa's problem. The accessed my Internet banking using my secure pin and password which no one has. Apparently the hacked my account whilst i was logged onto their secure site. After being told they would not refund me i contacted the Ombudsman for Banking services, this contact was made more than 3 weeks ago, when i called 2 weeks ago i was told a folder would be opened and i would be contacted within a week. In the mean time i sit and wait and nothing has happened. How is it possible that the diverted messages to his/her cell ph in order to get the TVN and RVN numbers required to add themselves as a beneficiary to my account when this diversion can supposedly ONLY be done within the bank itself. The cell ph being used to receive those sms's never leaves my home as it is a spare ph. All i want is my money back and compensation for the stress and inconveniences caused due to the lack of funds in my account when debit orders were due. BAD SERVICE for a client of more than 15yrs...
