Settlement Letter -48 hours???

Hi

I have requested a settlement letter this morning as I needed this urgently, the lady said that she would email it to me.
I still havent recieved it and when i called back another lady said it would take 48 hours.
Why does this take so long??? There are other banks that send the setllements letters immediately.
