OK so here we are again a year and a bit down the line. I have a hot water inline heater AND I have platinum insurance through Nedbank.
I logged a claim yesterday morning NED13120755. I told the person i logged the claim with what the unit is and that it is NOT a geyser. I said THE RIGHT person needs to be allocated to the call. Guess what?? AGAIN the wrong skilled person was allocated to the claim. So late yesterday another was allocated to the claim and only went out today at 11:30. NOW I am waiting for a report and possibly the unit will NOT be covered under the claim because "the policy has changes". Well thanks for telling me this.
I assume the policy states elements? Well this unit i cannot replace elements BUT i do not believe it is an element. What needs to be understood is that IT WAS LEAKING and that caused the problem.
Had I known this i would NOT still be insured via Nedbank. ALSO i would have replaced the element myself. BUT i need an educated person to KNOW what this is and know that the customer CANNOT CHANGE THESE elements OR circuit board in the unit.
SO another day for my kids NOT to have hot water.
THANK YOU NEDBANK!!!
