FNB Fuel rewards false advertising

I have been with FNB for 2 years now. The reason I joined was for the Fuel rewards and no other reason. I do alot of driving every month and spend between R2000 - R4000 a month on Petrol, and after 2 years I am only on 5 percent return and some months less.

After phoning the call centre numerous times I get a half arsed answer that I haven't spend at "participating" petrol station as it turns out that not all petrol stations ring up the fuel transactions as fuel transaction. After numerous asking for a list of participating petrol stations that do ring up fuel and fuel and not something else no one can help me.

You FNB are false advertising not giving all the facts and information on fuel rewards. I should have been on 15 percent a year ago and still I am on only 5 %. How is this? and why do you not tell consumers this in the adverts and when you sign up. Nothing was ever mentioned to me when I signed up with ebucks that not all petrol stations will ring my transaction up as fuel.

I will be taking this up with the NCC and the Ombudsman. I am tired of no one being able to give me a straight answer and give me the information I have requested. the service has been pathetic
