FNB Fuel Rewards

I recently started using my FNB Card for the Fuel Rewards. Today I called the FNB Credit Card number and was told that to qualify for FNB Fuel Rewards I MUST have an FNB Cheque account as well but the website states that I can earn rewards on my Platinum Credit card as well

Please advise?
