I am one of the thousands who moved over to FNB from ABSA two years ago because of ABSAs complete lack of service. When I moved over, I settled my Credit Card dept completely and told them to close the account.
Obviously, this was never done, and now I receive emails telling me I owe them bank charges on my Credit Card. This after the account has been paid off, haven't been used in the last year and was supposed to be paid off. Not surprised at all, really, this is exactly the kind of service which made me, and thousands of others, pack my bags and leave ABSA in the first place.
If I get another statement from you regarding this account, I will take it to the Ombudsman.
