Good day
I have tried cancelling my policy with Metropolitan for the past 2 months! The first time I had called the call centre the lady only told me to submit a certified copy of my I.D signed 3 times. According to me this was all that was needed to cancel the policy. After doing a follow up call in Feb had I discovered that the information given me was incorrect and that I should've submitted along with the certified copy of my I.D was a letter to cancel the policy and bank statements showing the debits going off. I have sent all the documents and was told that the refund will happen in 3 days... having called again today to check that everything has been cancelled and that payment will be made soon, yet discovered that the debit cancellation had not been made and that it will now take another 10 working days for the money to be paid back into my account. These institutions are ready to take the money out of your account but when it comes to cancellations/claims they always make you jump through hoops! If the information isn't conveyed correctly the first time around it causes time wasting, time that I do not have to waste on calling the call centre! Unacceptable!!!
