I am very dissapointed with Metropolitan. I took a funeral policy last year.
I sent a call back and a consultant called me back. The policy was for R85.00. The contract was done and concluded over the phone.
In November I realised that I am being debited R200. when I called the insurance to advise that this is not what i signed up for. The consultant agreed and said "yes you took a R85 funeral policy". I was advised to write a letter and send it to the head office. I did that.
Few days later I recieved an sms that requested me to send a letter, bank statement and certified copy of my ID with three signatures. what the is that!! who else was there when I took the contract.
Metropolitan took all my details over the phone including the banking details now that they must REFUNDme, I must give them hard copies. I was advised again and gain that the calls are recorded when I took the contract. Please go back to your recording and obtain all this information. I WANT MY MONEY BACK INTO THE VERY SAME ACCOUNT YOU TOOK FROM TODAAY AND CANCEL THIS POLICY.
