I am the executor of an estate which has a Money market investment account with FNB.
For the last 12 months I have experienced problems regarding statements for this account.
In the past I could call the FNB call center on 0860112244, enter my ID number, and discuss the problem with a consultant.
On numerous occasions I did this and even logged complaints but all solutions were short lived and none of the promises to resolve the issue in the long term was ever kept.
NOT ANYMORE - now if I enter my ID number I am requested to enter the last digits of a card number that has a PIN but there is no card associated with this account thus excluding me from using the call center.
If I try to to obtain alternative contact details from the FNB website there seems to be no email contact facilities but just a variety of 087 numbers with a note that these numbers are free if you use the FNB app.
As a pensioner with limited resources I do have a cell phone but not a smart phone.
I would like to hear FNB's comments on this total lack of service to anyone that does not have the latest technology according to FNB's standards.
