My account doesn't exist

It's been 5 weeks now that i went into the Woodlands branch and i am still waiting for a reply!
i had a credit card account with Nedbank and when i paid it in full i received a call from person advising me i'd over paid and she would call me back in 2 day so that i could be refunded.

it's been over a year now - its also been 5 weeks for someone to find that this account ever existed!!!

i am in the middle of a horrid divorce that is OUT OF COMMUNITY OF PROPERTY and my ex is refusing to give my stuff back.

i now have to prove what i own the items i am requesting & i need to prove some of it via this account...

BUT Nedbank say this account never existed and the staff at Nedbank Woodland have STILL not come back to me - i've been waiting for them to investigate have not have the DECENCY to respond

Does that mean i never had to pay the 24, 000 i owed in the first place cause this account never existed?

im meeting with my Advocate tomorrow 07 March and i have to bring along proof of what i own!

Thanks Nedbank for being so attentive and for NOT losing client account details and for NOT getting back to me with feedback because after all me as the client don't count!!
