My account was comprised, how I dont know? I received an sms that I should confirm my details or my account will be closed I immediately contacted Absa. I received an automatic e-mail response. Thereafter I have been in contact via e-mail with different people in Absa who forward my e-mail from one department to another. I cannot access my account and make payments. However when I deposit money into this account Absa responds stating that we are processing the money into this account. It has been over a month and not one individual has responded.
If this had been the first time, whilst I was still in Cape Town Absa deducted R1000 from my account which was later reversed when I queried and they informed me they were " testing" which was a as by profession I am an auditor therefore I am well informed of the audit/ procedures. If I was in the country I would surely close off all my account with them.
