I changed banks back in October and upon withdrawing the funds from the teller I requested the account be closed. Last week I received an SMS from absa stating that my account is overdrawn and I was to deposit immediately. Well, several emails - four to be exact - to their so called Action line and I have not had one reply except from one lady saying the case was being investigated. I'm still waiting for any confirmation that my account has been closed. And it's a mystery how absa can take off bank charges when their was no money in the account in the first place and now expect me to pay for it? I just want to get rid of dealing with absa bank once and for all.
