Account charges after account is closed

I have recently been given over to the law/collectors division of Standard Bank which sent me a SMS stating to contact them to avoid legal fees. After contacting them they informed me that I owe them - R850.
I went to the Centurion Life Style Center Branch in September 2011 to close all my accounts this included paying all balances and handing over all my cards to be destroyed.
Standard Bank kept the account open stating there was a debit order that was still deducted. After checking old statements the only debits where Standard Bank related service charges.
Just to be sure of when the accounts where closed I pulled a Credit Check and on the report it states that the accounts where closed in September 2011.
