I have 2 personal loans with ABSA bank. I was retrenched at the end of October 2012 and in the first week of November 2012, I went to the Rosettenville branch and filled out all documentation pertaining to Credit Life. A status report of my accounts were extracted and clearly showed accounts up to date as the October 2012 instalments went off as per the norm. Since then I have received not 1 phone call from Credit Life. In the past 4 months, I keep getting calls from the rude call centre asking me why am I not paying the loans and I keep telling them the same thing. Absa is now threatening me with legal action as per the phone call from the incompetent, rude woman who called this morning, who can't even spell to save her life.

Is it not Absa's responsibility to keep in contact with their INSURANCE pertaining to an account. They are quick to take the money but slow to pay up. According to the copies of the contracts, Credit Life pays the account for the duration of my unemployment. I AM TIRED OF THE PRIVATE NUMBERS PHONING ME FOR THE SAME THING EVERY SINGLE DAY.
