I unfortunately got retrenched in Feb 2013, I found out from a friend to find out, about insurance on my personal loan, I went into an absa bank to follow up and got told that I was covered for 6 months.
The lady at absa was very helpfull and she sent all my Documentation through, This happened approximitly in May 2013. It is now September 2013 and Absa are still deducting money from my account every month.
I have been fortunate enough to get some money from UIF, But those funds have now also run out.
Ive been battling to feed my family and pay rent due to the fact that ABSA debit my account for the amount of R1008.00 every month, even though I have asked them to claim from the credit life insurance policy.
I understand the Loan needs to be paid, but in the meantime while I'm unemployed it is more important to feed my family and have a roof over our head than the outstanding Loan amount.
I have phoned on numberous occassions where I hold the line for 15min and I still havent got an answer as to when they will start paying me the 6 months as I got told!
The Service is absolute dreadfull.
