My car went in for hail damage repair on the 11 of January. After returning the courtesy car on 26 Jan, I started making follow-up about the progress. All I got from the panel beater, Shogun auto body in Hermanstad, Pretoria was "the car will be ready next week". That was the response every week since 26 Jan. On Feb 18 when I finally put my foot down, "the car will be ready this week" was the response. On friday, 22 Feb, Rupert was avoiding my calls until he called around 15:00 that we can collect the car @ 16:00! I told him since I'm hiking from Broederstroom (next to Haartbeespoort dam) I wouldn't make 16:00. "But we close shop @ 16:00! " He shouts, 'Ok, I'll fetch the car 2moro', I reply, "no, we don't work weekends" he tells me. So the argument went until he agreed to come open up his workshop just so I can get my car 2day. Surprising enuf the whole staff is @ work 2day, and guess what! The car is not ready! Not washed, some parts not painted, some parts loose! So I took my car, nd he will work on it again on Monday to fix the rest of the problems! That's my insurance's trusted panel beater!
