On Monday 18 February, I received a phone call on my cell from a female who claimed to be calling from the FNB call centre. Unfortunately I do not recall her name but this can be obtained from the call records as she clearly stated that all conversations are recorded. She started by thanking me for being a loyal customer etc. Then proceeded to tell me about a FNB cancer insurance policy. I let her talk for a while, thanked her and told her I was not interested. She asked me whether it was because I already have insurance or because of finances. I told her that I already had health insurance to which she responded that it is always good to have additional insurance etc. When I told her again that I was not interested she said and I quote "What if you get cancer in the next 3 months! ". I could not believe my ears! I should've asked her name at that point but I was so shocked and upset I hung up the phone. How can FNB have people working for them who gamble with peoples' lives just to make a bit of commission. I find this very disturbing indeed!
