I have been banking with Standard Bank for 27year. 2012 I was dissappointed in Standard Bank for the second time, their staff couldnt cope with the application of student loans, so my daughter could not register for her next semester in Bcom in 2012, we had to change her studies and at Cape Town University of Technology for 2013, which has already started. standard bank phones me to tell me they decline the loan because she cant get 2 loans for 1 year studies, what do I do? Tell her sorry you cannot carry on? They get someone from Standard Bank Parow Branch to phone to tell me it is declined, who knows nothing what is going. I then phone the call centre, they say this is possible., they put me through to complaints line, left a message, still waiting for a reponse. I have written to standard bank on the 14 February, still waiting for a repsonse. please note I have been banking with them for 27years. maybe its time to make a change to another bank, as I have realised they do not care about their customers.. how sad is that??
