Standard Bank
Unfairly treated

L feel unfairly treated by standard bank. l lost my job in 2009 and l was in possession of a Blue-bin Credit card. l then decided to study full time at the University of Western Cape towards a BCom Degree. l informed standard bank about my situation, l sent them proof of registration, affidavit and l promised them that l would resume payments as soon as got employed.l also had an insurance for my credit card with standard bank and l thought that would cover me for a while but to my amazement it never did. l recently completed my 3year Degree and am now searching for a job. l also recently found out that the reason l am not getting a job is because standard bank put my name on ITC. I went to standard bank to make an arrangement with them with regards to the payments but they refused and told me to pay the amount in full before they remove my name from ITC. My question to them was, 'How do l make a full payment when l am not working? ', and they told me that there is nothing they can do. A few days ago l made a payment to the amount of R1500, which is more than a quarter of what l am owing, but still they refuse to help me. Therefore l really feel ill-treated by standard bank.
