Firstly I want to state that I have always received exceptional service from Discovery Insure. On 31 January 2013 my wife was involved in an accident. The ambulance was there within minutes. The towing company was authorised to tow the vehicle, the claim registered and rental car arrangements were finalised within 2 hours - really impressive. Unfortunately that is were the service ended. I received a sms om 31/1/2013 @ 11h29 that an assessor will contact me to assess the loss - I am still waiting for that call and had to call the call centre to find out that the car is uneconomical to repair. All requested documents were sent to Discovery insure on 31/01/2013. I received an e-mail from Thabisa Mbaliso on 04/02/2013 informing me that because of the value of the claim it is beyond her mandate and a senior validator will be in contact with me - today 14/02/2013 I am still waiting for him to make contact. I phoned the call centre this morning 11h20 to get an update - The lady said she will come back to me in an hour - 3 ours later I am still waiting. I tried again and a gentleman cut me off without phoning back.
