First National Bank
Shocking first impression... nauseating

I have been trying to open a savings account at FNB for the last 2 weeks, First I was sent away (after sitting in the waiting area for 45 minutes) because they insisted on a utility bill even though I explained to them that I do not receive any, I had a courier waybill but that was also not acceptable, I was told by Mariaan Deswart that if I could have a affidavit drawn up at a attorney firm and signed and stamped by a commissioner of oaths; it would be accepted. I did so and went back there today.

After sitting in the waiting area for a second time, I was approached by Sonja Steytler who asked me for the reason I was waiting. After I explained the whole story to her, She became very short and rude, and told me that none of what I brought will be accepted, she also said that "She can't help it if I have been miss informed by Mariaan Deswart".

We tried to phone her supervisor (Christa Smit) to complain about the situation and Sonja's extremely rude attitude and was told that she "is not going to take sides". basically a way of saying: you don't believe me.. I got the distinct impression that Christa was covering up for her.

First Impressions of FNB? Simply shocking!!
