On the 9-8-2013 I canceled policy 1292314 due to bureaucratic reasons FNB Insurance brokers deducted the full premium until the 31-08-2013 but they promised to refund the unused premium pro-rata.
They did not keep that promise. My wife and I are still waiting for the refund. Last month following a complaint in Hello-Peter a lady from FNB phoned me and apologized for the delay and assured me that my wife will be refunded. Another promise that did not materialize. Since then we have relocated and closed all FNB accounts.
Is it now necessary to go to the ombudsman?
