I am livid at how Standard bank conduct its business. On Tuesday night I made a deposit of R2100 into my account via the ATM so that my debit orders can go off with off without being returned. I received an SMS immediately to confirm this deposit.
Yesterday a debit order of R500 was returned the bank charged me R115.00 and today debit order of R200 was returned another charge of R115.00 my bank balance today is R2700.00. Clearly I had enough money on Tuesday for all of my debietorders to go off.
Because of this I am in arrears with my creditors and interest are being charged daily not only is this effecting my credit record but also my bank balance because I am being unnecessarily charged R230 while I had money in my account. Other banks handle their debit orders differently. I really liked standard bank but due to this I am moving my account to FNB or Capitech.
