This is my second application to FNB for a student loan since December. The 1st application was lost (how does one lose an online application?) and I was told by an employee at the Fourways branch on 6 January that I would have better luck allowing the application lapse and to start a new one. I did this at the Walmer Park Branch on Jan 28th. Brenda, our consultant, didn't even wait to hear my complaint in its entirety before passing me on the call centre. My grandmother and I completed our second application telephonically. However, this obviously inconvenienced Brenda, evident by the nail tapping and heavy sighing to be heard. Finally having completed this second application, I collected all the relevant documentation (again) and emailed it through to Zweli Simamane. A few days later I received the contract, signed it and also sent it back. I have now been told that some of the original documentation is missing from the app, even though I have sent said document to 4 different FNB employees and CC'd it to the 'spenddocs' address each time. No one is available to take accountability. I have missed my registration and have yet to receive any feedback.
