Poor service from FNB

There is a saying: "The weakest products always need the most marketing." This is quite apt when it comes down to describing the unsatisfactory service received at FNB. My student loan needs to be topped up for the 2014 academic year, hence I applied more than three weeks ago to ensure that it could be sorted in the quickest possible time.

I visited an FNB branch in Fourways and the loan was approved for the required amount. I was called up the following day and the sales consultant informed me that we need to do an application to cover the amount for 2013 and the required amount for 2014. He then need called the Student loan division and asked them to cancel the application so that we could reapply with a new application.

This past Monday, 03 February 2014, I hadn't received feedback from the Student loan division, hence I called them. I was assisted by Natalie Williams who processed my application and sent it off to the Credit division for final approval. I am yet to get an answer!

It amazes me that the "most" innovative bank is the least helpful. So much for customer care and service.

Thanks to Nedbank for securing my Student Loan for 2014. Now I can complete my studies.
