I cancelled my Better Life Mortgage protection policy prior to the debit order date because it was so much more expensive than what was out in the market. The Better Life employee replied via email that the cancellation was confirmed. This was on the 24-Jan-14. Yet on the 4-Feb-14 the debit order came off my bank account. I contacted the employee to get this rectified and had no response. I then had to phone up to get a response. An email reply came through that they would "look into the matter and advise accordingly". 4 hours later I have not had a response. I have had the line go dead on me twice now after holding for 5 minutes each time.
I have read that they do this constantly, is there any legal recourse against these??
