Cancellation-Debited after cancelling in June2012

I was given information and a premium by the consultant in June 2012. I then called back to let her know I will not be taking the policy as I got a cheaper quote. She still went ahead and processed the application, I did not receive any documenation about this policy and did not know it was active until I checked my debit orders. I called Altrisk and realised that they were deducting from my account for this policy with BetterLife when I called to cancel it. I was not told that I need to complete any cancellation documenation and I was under the impression that the policy wasnt even activated as I cancelled before anything was confirmed. I have completed a form and contacted the person and am awaiting details with regards to refunding premiums taken from October 2012 till now.
