Good Day. On the 28th of January, i received 4 sms notifications that card transactions were made from my card that is linked to my cheque account. two amounts were made to a company called netflix at an amount of R92.14 each. Then there were two purchases made on [URL Removed] for amounts of R2332.74 AND R1950.00.
I contacted the call centre to have the transactions stopped and also spoke to a person in the department..My concern is with the security that nedbank claims to have... not once did any OTP sms come through to my phone asking if i accept or reject the transactions... as what normally should happen when online purchases are made. I have had the money credited into my account but its just the security breach that is really alarming. What stops somebody from making such transactions again? I would like somebody to contact me and explain why these transactions were allowed in the first place. Thank You.
