After my husband died 5 years ago, FNB would not put the bond into my name - although I understand Substitution of Debtor in this situation is normally standard procedure. Eventually they decided to auction the house in question as my husband's estate could not be wound up until the house was out of his name and accepted an offer far lower than one I had brought them from a buyer.
The house has been transferred out of my name but FNB then started debiting my account again - with no communication or authorisation. I have mailed them on a number of occasions but get no response.
I think my next stop must be the Banking Ombudsman because this is terrible service.
