My husband and I wanted to sell our house and buy a new one. We applied for a home loan of R1.35 million. We were approved by Standard bank and FNB, but chose to go with FNb because of their interest rate. Long story short, the sale of our house did not go through. So my husband and I decided to stay at our current house. We decided to take out a second loan on our current home loan (at Standard bank). But now Standard bank is saying that our expenditures ar more than our income. How does that work??? We get approved for R1.35million but not for R150 000.00.
