Double Debits, no refund

I just called African Bank's legal department now due to them taking 2 debits from my account. After being on hold for super long the lady (couldn't hear her name) said they cannot refund this due my account being in arrears. And even after telling her that this was not the arrangement I have with them, and she confirming that someone loaded another direct debit, she still insists that there will be no refund. I am trying very hard to get my accounts sorted and now my other debit for my other account reversed due to insufficient funds. This is utter nonsense and unacceptable. I WILL take this further if my money is not refunded soon!
