I recently changed the name of my business and simply requested that the account name be changed. I had been to Sandton City branch on two occasions and on both, I was sent from consultant to consultant because nobody knew
a) What was required (documentation)
b) How to process the name change.
This has caused massive delays and additional cost to me - and that is unacceptable.
Word of advice: Stick to Standard Bank. My personal account is with them and I have had years of service excellence. This is not the first time FNB has fallen hopelessly short in terms of service delivery.
