I went to our local FNB ATM to withdraw money on the 19/12. At the same time the people from cash services advised me that they are going to change to money box and I must just wait a few minutes. On his exit he told me I could proceed. I did my transaction for R2000.00 and the money came out, but before I could retrieve it, the money went back into the ATM and the ATM then went offline. I showed the gentleman who changed the box what happened and he told me to wait for it to come back on and to check my balance. On the ATM coming back on, I checked and the money was still reflecting as going of my account. Another client tried to withdraw money, but it would not allow him to make a transaction. The gentleman of the cash services company went back into the ATM, and advised that a R200.00 note was stuck and this caused the the money to return in the ATM, but assured me, it would fall into a reject bin. I logged the query with FNB, who would then investigate the query for me. On 28/01 I was informed that my claim was invalid and that I would be charged for the investigation. This means I have been robbed by either the cash service gentlemen or FNB and am still being charged for this!
