Cannot deliver bank guarantee

I purchased a flat and need to provide a bank guarantee for the balance or the purchase price. The "application" for the bank guarantee was introduced three weeks ago. Still nothing has been produced! FNB is asking new questions every time I speak to them and they come back to me every 5 days in average.

if you need to buy a property and require a bank guarantee, for sure don't ask FNB! It is a real shame!!! is it ignorance or incompetence? probably both...
