Strive to exceed the needs of our customers???

Hi,

I have a property guarantee (Deposit to the developer) for a new housing development on my investment account that I want to cancel. I cancelled the building contract with the developer and applied for another loan on a built house in the market. ABSA Home Loan gave me a new loan on this house in principle pending that the guarantee on the previous property is cancelled.

I went to the Secunda branch about 3 weeks ago to enquire about the documents needed to cancel the guarantee & Secunda branch phoned LDP department in JHB (Eloff str.) They requested originals for property contract cancellation & guarantee letter which I submitted to the branch.

Nothing has been done on this issue to this date & no urgency has been shown in this regard. Out of frustration I ended finalising the home loan with another bank in order to secure the property. I am also shifting my accounts to another bank, hopefully I will get a better service as a client.

Everytime I try to follow up on this matter Absa keeps on sending me from pillar to post & I find myself being off from work if not continuosly on the phone trying to resolve this issue.
