6 months and no payment to Dr's

My wife joined Essential Med in 2012..On 24 June 2013 she decided to cancel the policy in order to join a Medical Aid, as we had problems when my daughter needed to be hospitalized for a severe lung infection. The whole doctor network also changed and when we wanted to take our daughter to a GP in July, we were informed that the nearest GP on the new list was in Brackenfell and we decided to take her there. According to the policy stipulations you are still covered in the last month after the cancellation date and she still paid for the month of July via debit order on 25 June. Now we find out that this account was never settled by them and after numerous attempts by the accounts department of the GP they were now informed the account will not be paid as my wife is no longer a member of Essential Med. She cancelled because she got FED up with the pathetic service and it seems as if has not improved since then. I see that Hellopeter is FULL of complaints about NON/LATE payment of accounts so no surprise there. We want this matter sorted asap or we will be taking it further via a legal route.
