Shocking service!

My 2 year old daughter had breathing problems and was referred to a pediatrician in June. On his recommendation she was to be admitted to hosp on the same day. We went to Louis Leipoldt admission Dept and was told that they do not help Essential Med clients unless payment is done upfront. After numerous calls this was eventually sorted and R12 000 cash was paid over to them. Her stay was for 4 days and a total cover of R17 000 is payable under the stipulated rules. I have been following up to find out who will be covered with the remaining difference, but keep getting empty promises. I, as well as, the accounts Dept at the pediatrician was informed the payment will be made by no later than the 19th of July! Today I phoned and was told by someone new there is no record of this! What kind of insurance is this supposed to be? Judging from the other complaints on here this seems to be standard practice to misinform customers. According to your new doctors list it seems as if more and more practices are moving away from your financial institution and I am now starting to see why. If this matter is not resolved within the next day or two I will be seeking legal advise against you...
