Credit Card Application

I applied for a credit card on 23/01/2013. All of my supporting documents were sent through and was advised I should hear back in about 72 hours, once everything has been captured.

I followed up on 31/01/2013 and was told that my application was sent for special review, but because some of my details were captured incorrectly the whole process has to start again (Don't know why this is made to be my problem - do things properly the first time to avoid doing it again a second time)

I just followed up again now, where I was told that a second request was sent through to the special review board or whatever.

I've been a FNB card holder for 10 years and have never experienced such slow service, even in a busy Eastgate branch on Month End Morning.

Waiting over two weeks to hear the outcome of a credit card, by this same logic should I apply for a home loan now for a house that I wish to purchase in 2016?

Please pick up the ball (and the speed!!)
