Slow Lounge Access - Had to Pay

I recently travelled with my family through OR Tambo, and decided to visit the Slow Lounge. I have a Platinum Cheque Card, and have not used the lounge in ages. The agent at the Slow desk asked if I had used the lounge in the last month, which I told him I hadn't and he said I could bring in myself and my three family members.

Well - I then get billed R250 each for this privilege! I am not impressed. I phoned the call centre this morning to find out that I do not qualify for this perk as I did not spend R5000 on the card in December.

There should be some sort of verification at the Slow Lounge to warn users that they will be billed for the visit. I have now paid R1000 for a few cold drinks and a few snacks. Thanks FNB - what a perk!

In the interest of good relations, I would really like feedback regarding this issue.
