On the 5'th Feb 2013, I went to my Absa Branch in Southdale for assistance regarding unauthorised debit orders that went off in my account. I discovered that for 4 days in February my account was debited by a company I did not know or had dealings with in Japan. Instead of finding out what the problem was and how much was debited the consultant as well as the Customer Service and Hosting Manager, Mr Vijay Narain could not give a sensible explanation and just put me through to a call centre agent who had no clue. As a Manager I expected Mr Narain to got through my bank statement to double check but he was not interested. i ended going to Absa Melville where I was assisted by a professional consultant who made enquiries and helped me lodge a case. Even though the case has not been resolved but i'm grateful to have been assisted by Brownwyn Gillian from Mellvile. Had it not have been for her my account would still be hacked because of unprofessional people like Vijay. I'm disgruntled and disappointed with the level of service at absa southdale witha few exceptions not all staff at absa southdale are unprofessional.
