I am currently working full-time, and attempting to further my studies by beginning a correspondence degree through UNISA. To do this I had to get a student loan, which ABSA was willing to supply. The overall process of this has been great and the people I've dealt with have been very helpful... till now.
I was accepted to UNISA, and my loan was approved. To register for my course, I needed a large deposit (which would come out of my loan). The bank agreed to release the deposit cash, and then the rest of the money when I was fully registered, which I thought was fair.
I am now fully registered, and have sent proof of this through to the relevant department at ABSA over a week ago. I have heard nothing. I have called 3 (possibly 4) times since then, and been told that I will be called back.. this hasnt happened.
This matter has now become urgent - I need this money to buy my textbooks. Im unable to purchase any of the books I need, and my first assignment is due less than a month from now.
The loan was approved, the registration completed... somebody just needs to get into gear and finalise this thing.
