We took a student loan for my daughter at ABSA's Student Loan Centre in Tygerberg and she started working this month. We contacted ABSA on numerous occasions to get the details for her to se up a Debit Order but with no success. No we were handed over to lawyers who threaten us on sms's regarding this loan. This is rediculous and I will urge no-one to ever take a student loan out with ABSA. First the ducuments was lost and we had to go through the whole process twice, and resubmit our copies again a third time, and now we get handed over when we want to pay the loan. Maybe its another way for ABSA to make money, cause when they hand you over, there's all kinds of extra costs involved which you must pay.
All I want is the account nr, amounts to pay and contact persons... was it that difficult to give it??? Maybe ABSA should start looking at employing people who can actually do the work, and not cost them their customers.
After this, I will never ever deal with ABSA again... I can see why I was warned in the first place!!!
