I have applied for a home loan/building loan from ABSA six months ago, it was approved and registered after a hassle and now I am struggling to get my money. I have been told so many stories and requested so many things to proceed the loan that I felt the bank is treating me like a.

I applied for the loan to finance the consolidation of my debts which I incurred when I was building my house and to finance my MBA studies. Know my institution is kicking me out of the programme for non-payment. I am also under a lot of financial stress because I am paying for the bond from ABSA of which part of the money was paid and the balance of R238k was to be on condition that I submit the occupancy certificate.

To my horror, I submitted the certificate last week and was expecting payment immediately, I am know told that my bond was incorrectly registered. Again, the bank did not have the correct figures I was approved for and the outstanding balance.

The staff seem not to care about anything!! How can you wait for a home loan for six months? FNB and SA Homeloans do it in less than 1 week!!! ABSA disgusts me!! I wonder if this is the banks attitude towards its customers?
